"Finding Home" is a piece that follows the journey of a golden trout through the cold, clear waters of Montana. Native to the West but rare in this state, the trout becomes a symbol of quiet resilience and the search for belonging in unfamiliar landscapes. Through this work, I explore how home is not always where we begin, but where we choose to return, survive, and thrive.

A trout’s own transformation evolves as it adapts to a new environment. In Montana’s alpine waters, the golden trout finds that place. I, too, call Montana my home.
